For self-managed participants

Self-managed? You can choose us — and claim it back easily.

Self-managing your NDIS plan gives you the most choice — you can use any provider, registered or not. We send you a compliant invoice after each session that you claim through the myplace participant portal.

Why self-management suits online therapy

When you self-manage, the NDIS doesn't limit you to registered providers. You can pick the therapist who's the right fit — including online clinicians who can see your child this week instead of in six months. That freedom of choice is the whole point of self-management.

How claiming works with us

  1. You book and attend the session online — speech, OT, or psychology.
  2. We email a compliant invoice with everything the NDIA needs: our ABN, the support item, the date, and the amount.
  3. You make a payment request in the myplace participant portal against your Improved Daily Living budget.
  4. You're reimbursed — usually within a few days.

Keeping your records straight

Self-management comes with a light record-keeping duty: hold on to invoices and proof of payment in case the NDIA asks to see them. We keep your invoices tidy and re-send any you've misplaced, so an end-of-plan review is never a scramble.

No paperwork wall

The trade-off people worry about with self-management is admin. With us it's two steps — attend, then claim — and we'll walk your first claim through with you if it helps.

Common questions

Can a self-managed participant use a non-registered provider?
Yes. Self-managing your plan means you're free to choose any provider whose support meets your plan goals — they don't have to be NDIS-registered. You decide who delivers your therapy.
How do I claim a session?
After each session we email you a compliant invoice. You log in to the myplace participant portal, make a payment request against your Capacity Building — Improved Daily Living budget, and the NDIA reimburses you (or pays the provider).
Do I pay upfront?
We agree the arrangement with you in advance. Many self-managed families pay the invoice and claim reimbursement; others claim first and then pay. Either way there's no gap fee — we bill within the NDIS price limits.
